Michael Jordan files lawsuit against Qiaodan sports

We all know about Michael Jordan and him being the G.O.A.T . But this just in , he recently filed suit on Chinese apparel company , Qiaodan sports for mis-using his name and brand. How you ask? Well the lawsuit is centered at the fact that the Chinese brand is using the “well-known” Chinese translation of his name. Qiaodan used the name without his permission. In 2010 the company generated over $450 million in revenue. The video at the bottom shows MJ telling us how he feel and the mis-usage of a name and a brand.

An urban lifestyle. We love music we love fashion we DEFINITELY love art but hydro?

2012 is the world going to end?? Probably not, but that does not mean we should not curb our destructive ways. The Hydro world has been an underground market that has now bubbled out into main stream culture. Every major city in California has a swarm of medical marijuana clubs. This is now what people think of when they hear “Hydro”, and that’s ignorant. We get Hydroponics from all over the world and throughout different cultures.

We need to think larger and start a small herb garden in our windows or get a veggie patch growing out back. There is a school teacher in Georgia that is in court for having a victory garden in his front yard. That’s insane! We need to grow our own food. Do you really trust the stuff that the farmers are putting in our food? We are handed more and more GMO foods to make sure it does not go bad during shipping or just to make a crop grow in a climate that it doesn’t normally grow in. The problem is that these things start to affect the people who consume the finished product. Please stand up to your local grocery store and demand organics or go on down to your local Hydro Shop and start you own Victory Garden.

I’ve been a fan of the UNDFTD x Converse Collection. But this one I can’t wait to get my hands on these joints!! Fragment Design have been under the Nike Umbrella for quite some time and Now they Link with Undefeated and Converse in a triple threat of collaboration. From what we’ve seen so far the uppers keep things pretty clean, with the deep blood red canvas sticking on a solid look. The collaboration makes itself apparent in the form of the co-branded tongue and midsole badges, something we’ve seen before on UNDFTD’s string of CONVERSE releases. Hey everyone! It’s been a hot minute since we have post on good ol’freshkutave . For starters I want to wish everyone a happy new years/black history month/late valentines/Chinese new years and whatever other holiday that has past. We have been going strong for almost 4 1/2 years. It all started with a idea and it became from us being a crew that performed and booked shows And became establish as a go-to for blogging . Holdin’ tight as always have been me (Juno) and the lovely Zrydsp . Well me and her have decided it is now time to dabble more into establishing a brand and since we have hold this down so long and watch it grow from a branch into a big tree. Let’s plant another seed from the tree and watch it grow. So please keep your eye on big things over here .

On 2/19/12 we went to the la zine fest and I gotta say it has gaven us a lot of inspiration to this next project. And plus we got to hear the legend Henry Rollins speak. This event was packed with sellers and buyers and people of interest. I know i was very happy to be there with my friends and got the chance to see henry rollins .

Music|album review of September

While I’m not drawing and blogging I’m buying music. I’ve been always a person that wants to collect and listen to new things. Well recently I’d picked up a couple albums that I can sit on and knock while I’m thinking of a masterplan.

First album I actually picked up was Thurz “LA Riot” lp . If you know of thurz ,then you all know he is 1 half of the group U-N-I . This album has a dope theme and concept . I can really relate to it because I grew up in the era where the Rodney king riots came into place. He has alot heaters and the features will just make your jaw drop.

Next album I picked up was J.Cole “Cole world” when I got a hold of this album. At first I wasn’t really feeling it. But I had to listen to it back to back for it to grow on me. And what j.Cole is spitting is pretty ill. He is a dope storyteller and we don’t really have that many kind of emcees like nowadays.

Lil’wayne “Carter IV” I am amazed at this piece of work! Not because it was cool but the collabs he had on here. When I heard the interlude and he had tech n9ne and andre 3000 on the verses. But this a good pick up.

Evidence “Cats & Dogs” last week I’d pick this up. And from all the dilated people’s ,and his solo albums. Evidence is on point and having the flow and beats is going to reign supreme! Go pick this up if you haven’t .

Building for the Good

Story

as you all know, for the past couple months i’ve been working on my craft. So far a lot of people
have been hitting me up to draw you. It’s been a great experience and I would like to frontier into
getting myself out to other places. In my past post of showcasing my artwork. I was asking for donations
the reason of donation,because art supplies are getting expensive. Plus I’m taking flight to vancouver,bc
It get’s expensive! I also said to myself after i come back from vancouver i was going to give out of each
donation i get i was going to give 20% to J.U.I.C.E. (Justice by Uniting In Creative Energy). It’s this
Non-Profit organization that give the chance for people to advance in their craft of hip hop.
From Breakdancing,Rhyming,Dj’n,and Graffiti , Juice has all those elements there and i would like
to keep to them there. When I came back from school in lousianna and i tried to pursue in my dreams
my girlfriend at the time gave me info on 2 places that was good build and make my dream come true.
and that was Juice and Project Blowed.So I would like to start this by November 14th,2011.

Just received this dope package in a email. It’s the 2nd edition to Jay-Kin’s,sneakers&videogames. I was impressed with the 1st version. Part 2 just makes me amazed at his talent. On this tape,it features BrandUn Deshay and it also features Skyzoo. I have tip my hat off to this guy for coming up with creative tape. Ive featured him on the site many of times and I can say if you are new to the site “do not sleep on this guy”.

Diary: So-Cal weather

Hola! So its after labor day(us holiday)and the rise of heat has went up(just like the gas). But I’ve noticed this tend to happen around the end of summer and mostly in September in los angeles. The heat starts to rise up in 80′s to the 100′s. I know a lot of people don’t want this kind of weather out here in la. You’d figure since its September just start being cool. It’s time for school,put those falls clothes to use. Instead you gotta wear shorts and less dressed to keep you from fainting.this will be great for a pale ass person who hasn’t got a tan in ages to get one now lol

I myself can’t wait until this phase of weather to just go and come back another summer.

But on a good note I’ve decided on where I would be going for my winter trip and it’s not Vancouver. The reason why is that I love most of the people there like Stacee,willow,Uriah,and edge. But it’s like this vancity will always be there for me and that o will always cherish that. So I will be going to another part of Canada,and that is Toronto. I’ve never been before and I hope this will be a great experience.
